Pez Outlaw, Boingo Boingo #pezoutlaw

Please Watch My Emmy Winning Movie, The Pez Outlaw on Amazon Prime & Peacock. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Best actor at SXSW.

It's My Story.

I see Bio's on facebook n twitter that read;
artist, writer, environmentalist, entrepreneur.
My Bio should read.
dirt, work, horsepoo, tractor.

My life is on hold right now while I wait on news from Hollywood about Pez Outlaw.
I won't lie to you, the wait is absolutely maddening.
My bills would kill for that money right now.
Frustration to the point of distraction.

I've gotten to the point where I can't think about it anymore because if I do I just become very depressed.
So I work.
I had a project that was waiting on the Pez Outlaw Hollywood money.
A month ago I just said screw it, if it takes 3 months n a lot of makin do I'm just gonna green light it.

I fired up the tractor n tore down the old tin shed.
Presently the newly located shed is almost done, $120.00.
The relocation of the fence is done, 8 bags of cement.
The circle drive, 2 months to go.

I can't just sit around n wait for a Hollywood maybe, it would kill me.
The answer is to plunge as hard as I can into work.
Do what I can with as little as possible $$$$$.
My brain is just beyond repair over this Hollywood Pez Outlaw thing.

So I work.
I play with the dogs n horses.
I avoid at all cost thinking about Bills n Hollywood Pez Outlaw.
Bills n Hollywood, We'll jump off that bridge if n when we get to it.

In short I try to stay busy n not think.
Believe it or not my words in this post have been tempered.

FYI; this post is actually meant for one reader.
Dude! Some tangible good news would be nice right now.
N no I'm not Talking about Jeff.

silence is the preferred outcome once the goal is achieved.
This journey must end the way it began, about money,
Money can't buy me everything but it can pay debt.
I don't need or want a boat or fame.

anywho - my bio.
dirt, work, horsepoo, tractor.

?. does it help to express your angst?

After Pez Outlaw, I intend to retire.

Pez Outlaw, I'm Bored, Let's Talk About Me. #pezoutlaw

Americana

Please Watch My Emmy Winning Movie, The Pez Outlaw on Amazon Prime & Peacock. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Best actor at SXSW.

It's My Story.

When my brothers n I were very young in the late 1950s we used to take bike trips on Grovenberge rd.
We'd take a jar of Kool-Aid n ride to the end of Grovenberge rd n back again.
These trips came to an end when I96 cut off Grovenberge rd pretty much at the point we'd begin at.

I grew up watching westerns on TV n my parents listened to country music.
So of course I broke my collar bone defending a girl in grade school.
One of my better excuses to fight.

As a child I got in fights n could be disruptive.
Yes one of my teachers did put me in a closet as punishment.
This may have happened more than once, I didn't care, just catcalled into the hallway through a vent.

My neighborhood in the 1950s was rural on the edge of large farms.
I96 was built just behind our house n began the change of everything.
Next we were annexed into the city.

When integration became the law, we were bussed into the inner city to achieve quotas.
This law had a very big impact on my life.
Rural to city n city ways, which led to drugs.

I live in the country now n like my folks I listen to country music.
I can't help thinking if I'd stayed in the country some of my life might have been different.
Some people fit better in the country than in the city.

Country life helps me maintain perspective.
City life n city ways confused my mind.
Creating the need to self medicate.

At 15 I got brought home by the cops drunk.
16 n 17 I smoked weed, did LSD n peyote, shot meth n Heroine.
I spent the next 25 years finding my way back.

In my 40s I had probably the best decade of my life as Pez Outlaw.
Another highpoint was the summer I spent helping Larry Blizzard build the horse arena in 2011.
That 2011 summer was another turning point in my life.

I think I gained perspective on my life in that summer of 2011.
For a decade I'd meandered writing Pez Outlaw Diary.
After the summer of 2011 I found my true purpose in life.

My 50s to now 65 have been fighting my way back again after Pez Corp destroyed my life.
see Pez Outlaw Diary
I believe that my life's circle will close on a high note with a movie n a book about Pez Outlaw.
What can I say, I'm an optimist.

When I was young n listened to Rock n Roll my dad used to say, There's no Story.
I find Rock n other forms of music agitating, disruptive to my mind.
Country music blends with my life now, I can identify with it.

Reference point.
I started listening to Country music in my summer of 2011.
By no coincidence, the summer I got my life back on track.
Building things, hard work n country music, soothes the crazy.

I watched a documentary last night about a rich persons life gone wrong.
It kinda shook me up a bit, the old there but by the grace of God go I.
Made me want to pull back for fear of acting out to much.
Then I found this post n it made me feel better.

No matter what happens I need to remember that I wear $12.00 jeans from Family Farm n Home and that I drive a tractor because it's fun.
The lessons I've learned over the last 15yrs must not be forgotten.
Humility in my personal life.
Let others do as they will, focus on the tasks before me.
Frugality in all things, do not waste anything.
Always look at discarded things for what they can or might be.
Above all, try every day to view life in the best light I can.

After Pez Outlaw, I intend to retire.

Pez Outlaw, Wha-cha Doin? #pezoutlaw

Please Watch My Emmy Winning Movie, The Pez Outlaw on Amazon Prime & Peacock. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Best actor at SXSW.

It's My Story.

"Whatcha Doin" is meant as a polite if not humorous call from reality to return.
The choice to return to reality is up to you.
Personally I've got a bit more to do here before I can return.

Unfortunately, just this morning I was Told "Keep doing what you're doing".
So you can see, I have no choice but to play here a while.
Then there'd be the next thing n you know this guys the only person for that.

Which in the end means I probably won't be returning.
It's like a Mars mission, a one way trip.
The trick n it's always been that way is to separate them.

Pez Outlaw is the character that that life is poured into.
The writer here in the Asylum is the sought out conscious require for this task.
Then there is me, the Hermit that wants none of what those other 2 guys are up to.

Full circle, "Whatcha Doin"?
It's complicated.
Not sure even I understand.
I just know it's what I need to do.

******************************************

Everybody says you should take precautions, so you do. Somehow the unwelcome guest shows up anyway.

Slowly the dominoes fall over the whole family.

Who started this anyway?
Kathy says, better not to know, wouldn't want to harbor ill will.

Seriously though, any day, any day.
Wanding every visitor for hidden objects.

5 days now n like fish it's beginning to smell.
Beginning to wear on me mentally.

Dude, what in God's name are you whining about?
Got the Flu for Christmas at a family gathering.

Wanted dirt, got the flu. Santa's a real kidder.
Luckily we have a porta john for outside work.

Better after 5 days of torment.
Went through a historic amount of TP.

I think what's got me today is mild depression.
Hey, Flu with a chaser of depression. Livin Large.

I hardly ever get sick because I have little contact with the outside world.
Unfortunately the Holidays present unavoidable exposure.

Just heard this morning. Josh, Heidie n Ri caught it in the last day or so.
Kathy said, Don't you dare write one about vomiting n diarrhea.
We all knew I would though, didn't we.

Happy Face Icon.

When you ask to be friended or follow me, make sure it's what you really want, because I'm relentless in pursuit of my goals.
After Pez Outlaw, I intend to retire.

Pez Outlaw, Narcissism, Evolution, Legacy. #pezoutlaw

Please Watch My Emmy Winning Movie, The Pez Outlaw on Amazon Prime & Peacock. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Best actor at SXSW.

It's My Story.

On a couple of my posts here I've told you how I live in two worlds.
Writing in Notes from the Asylum is honing of a skill or picking at a scab.
I'd like to make another attempt and see if I can get it right.

For over a decade now I've needed to be an unashamed narcissist.
Paying attention to only what I'm doing.
A type of tunnel vision on my goal.

Since I started writing in Notes From The Asylum I've been able to confine this narcissism to only my mornings, 10am to 2pm.
1998 to approx 2010 while I wrote Pez Outlaw Diary, it was all consuming.
Somewhere between 2010 n when I met Jeff Maysh in October of 2014 I started cooling down.

Always puzzles me when people are put off when they discover crazy, yet what drew them to me n the story was about is crazy.
I'm shocked, shocked I tell ya, that he's crazy.

A year ago I created Notes From The Asylum so that I'd quit picking at the scab that is Pez Outlaw Diary anymore.
I realized that I had a lot more to say but that it did not belong in Pez Outlaw Diary.
After working/talking to Jeff Maysh for 10 months with him playing the part of my Rabi, the person I could confide in, I created Notes From The Asylum as an alternative outlet for me emotionally.

I can only imagine what Jeff n others think of Notes From The Asylum, but the truth is that I have helped myself get better in the Asylum.
I have achieved more movement forward in my year with the Asylum than I did in a decade with Pez Outlaw Diary.

I realize I could not be here in the Asylum without my decade of writing in Pez Outlaw Diary but in the Asylum I'm not bound by one topic.
Pez Outlaw Diary by it's nature was confined to Pez, what I and Pez corporation did.
Notes From The Asylum allows me to go anywhere, to move on.

Pez Outlaw Diary required a 24/7/365 Narcissist.
Notes From The Asylum is part time 10am to 2pm.
I can and do now move on each day after 2pm to my other life.

Five+ years ago another factor entered Kathy n my life, that I'm never allowed to share.
Because of this I've moved toward Kathy's world to be of whatever use I can be.
Eb (Green Acres) was born.

This also changed me, it helped me pull out of the Pez Outlaw tunnel vision and to a better me.
A true partner for Kathy. To become the person my mother n Kathy always had faith was there.
I'm allowed to self indulge my demons for 4 hours each day, then because of that gift I am ready each day to emerge n be somebody else.

I want to see Pez Outlaw's story fulfilled, but after that I think I'm getting to the point where I will be ready to move on.
I just need on a personal level to wrap Pez Outlaw's story up in a nice little bow.
I need and now want to do this not only for myself but for my family.
I'd like to leave Pez Outlaw behind for my family, something they can be proud of.

Another change has also happened besides becoming more at peace as a person, something I never knew in the first 60 years of my life.
That is that I kinda know when something I wrote is any good. I like this one.
In Pez Outlaw Diary I wrote out of anger.
In Notes From The Asylum, I write because I enjoy it and I find it fulfilling to express my thoughts.

I guess the Narcissist isn't completely gone, Because I know that this post is one of the better ones. Truth be told, if you don't believe in yourself, how do you figure anybody else is gonna.

It's a tricky line to walk, Narcissist vs a person others actually like.
Luckily I'm only a narcissist from 10am to 2pm?
Then hopefully I transform into........ ME.

Swear to God, I've got so many isms/crazy going on up there that a feller could write a book.
Nope, wait...... I did.

In the end I believe I will be asked. Why do you think the Pez Outlaw story caught on, basically what's the reason you succeeded out of everyone who tries? Because I was relentless, I gave 100% effort.

Here's how outa touch I am. I had to ask, Are these real?
I hear that they are. Tina Christison Gunsauls is sending me a set.
I now have a Pez collection. Scooby n the gang. plus my Pez Outlaw Truck.

Scooby n Shaggy are my all time favorite classic cartoon characters.

I guess I have no idea what's been happening in Pez for the last 10 years. You know life n stuff, oh yeah n obsessing. A lot of that.

After Pez Outlaw, I intend to retire.

Pez Outlaw, Mind Drift #pezoutlaw

Please Watch My Emmy Winning Movie, The Pez Outlaw on Amazon Prime & Peacock. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Best actor at SXSW.

It's My Story.

The Mud's Got Whitecaps.
There's been an ungodly amount of rain this year.
We had An ocean of mud.
When the peaks dry, they look like Whitecaps.

I went into one of the pastures the other day,
The tractor got stuck in soft mud up to the frame.
As always Kathy had to snatch me out with her truck.
Within a week the mud closed, like I'd never been there.

God I'm in terrible shape this spring.
Sunk 3 posts n man did I pay the next day.
Bought n unloaded material for 2 jobs.
That was it for the day, except chores.

Every year Spring is a shock to my system.
With spring comes projects.
Each project highlights how outa shape I am.
Even with winter's work load, I still loose ground.

All winter I'm busy.
3 to 4 hours a day outside working.
Thing is it's a different kind of work.
In winter you just hold things together n do chores.

Spring brings projects.
Pasture need cleaned n big repairs are no longer on hold.
Muddy rutts need smoothing n the yard needs mowing.
Oh yeah n I gotta rebuild the mower deck.

We haven't even got to trees, gardens n flowers.
This year I want to plant 6 new fruit trees.
I need to seed 3 to 4 new wild flower patches.
Also need to figure out what I'm doin with the garden this year.

The new raspberries are already in the ground.
Believe it or not I'm already seeing leaves.
Ripped out n moved 40 ft of bushes
Moved them down hill n replaced with raspberries.

Did some good on the ruts today.
Gotta get the ground shaped up so it's possible to mow.
Neighbors each side of me have already mowed.
Todays post was Goulash of the week.

After Pez Outlaw, I intend to retire.

Pez Outlaw, Pez Pops #pezoutlaw

Please Watch My Emmy Winning Movie, The Pez Outlaw on Amazon Prime & Peacock. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Best actor at SXSW.

It's My Story.

suggestion to pez corp
as written approx. 15-20yrs ago

Pez Pops

Create a very small pez type dispenser out of 1 pack of pez candy with a character shaped sucker head that fits on one end of the pack of pez candy, "Pez Pops". Face it, pez dispensers were only created after the fact, to boost candy sales. With this idea you can free yourself at last from the burden of creating something that you only think after 50 years you must do. My guess is you actually make no actual profit on the pez dispenser itself. That the pez dispenser has become like the packaging a cost of bringing your true product Pez candy to market. After all Haas is a confectioary company.

Packs of pez candy by themselves have never sold well so pez dispensers were created to help sell the candy. Well if you put a lolli pop shaped like a cartoon character on one end of the pack of pez candy as a homage to your own product, I believe you could eliminate pez dispensers for approximately half of your candy sales. Cost savings would be huge, as each pez dispenser created runs probably .35 cents & you probably make no money on pez dispensers anyway. As opposed to a sucker heads cost of say .03 cents. You could even subcontract out the production of these sucker character heads.

With this new line of product you could remove at least two sales obstacles. Product placement & Price point. With this smaller product line it would be no problem creating pez packaging that gets you on the coveted candy bar & life saver shelves in checkout areas of stores. On price point, lets face it current pricing of Pez dispensers & candy are hurting sales. Eliminating pez dispensers for this new line of product could get retail of this new line down to about .25 cents.

I understand packs of candy by themselves have very low appeal, which is why you created pez dispensers. I believe the same objective can be reached at a fraction of the cost by simply putting the head in candy form directly on the pack of pez candy. These candy heads could be made out of Lolli Pop candy, little Chocolate heads, Gum shaped heads, Red hot Jaw Breaker heads, Sweet tart heads & even lickerish heads all mounted on one end of the pack of pez candy. Cheaply priced, Good product placement probability & No plastic at all. Talk about going green.

The real beauty of this idea is that you could eliminate most of the costly Pez dispenser injection molding facilities you are currently running down to say just the one in Austria. You could maintain a specialty line of Pez dispensers with candy from the facilities in Austria. While shifting the majority of pez candy sales to this new line. Think of it, eliminating 50% to 70% of plastic cost, cost of the number of pez molds you would need to create & maintain and expensive travel time to the four corners of the Earth working on production of pez dispensers that you probably only break even on. Not to mention the fact that each confectionery facility that produces Pez candy could actually contract out in country for the various candy heads required.

You could test market this new pez product line in the US & Hungary to get a feel for its potential. In Hungary I bet you Robby would know exactly how to flesh this idea out & run with it. By test marketing in the US & Hungary you would get a pretty good idea what global response to this new pez product line would be. Providing an indicator of how far to actually take it. You were half way there with the mini pez dispensers & actually it gives imput on acceptability of smaller Pez product.

Even if this idea caught on like a house afire, I would maintain a specialty line of plastic pez dispensers with candy as an upscale line for your product. If global pez sales hopes/requirements/projections could be met with the new line (Pez Pops), this line could carry the majority cost of operations & global profits. Remember cost of product & operations would now be reduced by approximately 50%. Leaving the line of what would now be the specialty line Pez dispensers with candy as pure gravy.

As the new line, pez candy packs with heads or Pez Pops are now in the checkout area of stores. Pez Pops would be the perfect impulse item located in the impulse item shopping area, priced at the perfect impulse item price. If at all possible .25 cents is the ideal retail target price for Pez Pops. Mom is sure to let little Jimmy or Susy have a Pez Pop if it only costs a Quarter. As a quarter is the new nickel. Product placement of Pez Pops now accomplished through packaging size, the pez specialty lines location in the store is no longer a burden on sales. Now days Pez dispenser location in stores is killing sales as is the price point. Though if Pez Pops are carrying sales & finding a home in checkout this is no longer a burden.

The cost of pez dispenser with candy that is killing you now at $1.00 to $2.00 could be increased to $2.50 to $3.50 no problem. Just increase package size along with the number of refills & poor location of principal pez product line is no longer a burden on sales. As this item is no longer the workhorse, Pez Pops are. So being located in the toy area actually becomes an asset. Where else would a specialty line be & at $2.50 it is one of the cheaper items here. Remember though you can not turn this liability into an asset without Pez Pops carrying the bulk of sales. Making something old new again requires Pez Pops to shine a light on just how special it truly is. You can't have one without the other, they absolutely require each other for success. You can't have a premium line of product without a basic line of product. The presence of one elevates the other. Also remember Pez Pop heads can be made out of Sucker candy, Chocolate, Jaw Breaker candy, Red Hot candy (for special characters like Tasmanian Devil & Yosemite Sam), Liquorish candy & Sweet Tart candy.

My further guess is Pez Pop Heads could also be made out of & in all of the flavors you currently make pez candy tabs in. By using the same compression process you use for pez candy tabs, I bet you could make the heads out of your own pez candy. The compression strike made when creating cavity in head used for mounting head on pack of candy.

Pez Outlaw, "EVERYTHING" You Need To Know #pezoutlaw

Please Watch My Emmy Winning Movie, The Pez Outlaw on Amazon Prime & Peacock. 100% on Rotten Tomatoes. Best actor at SXSW.

It's My Story.

Life is the journey from Birth to Death.

How you get there is what's important.

We all pull a little red wagon filled with all the stupid or awful things we've done on our journey to eventual, Death.
Try as best you can not to get your wagon so full that you can no longer pull it.

Short version. You are going to Die.
Try to remember, are the actions I'm about to take, one's I want to remember as I'm Dying.
If I only live once, is this how I want to spend that time.

This is a big one.
What you do not say to people in life is way more important than what you do say.
If what you are going to tell me will hurt me. Don't, Lie to me.
"Honesty" can be selfish, if you need to unburden your soul, tell your Rabi.

Most important.
Be nice to your Dog.

Ever notice, You never hear your dog brag about how well trained you are.

After Pez Outlaw, I intend to retire.
